FAQ
Question : Is Air Conditioning expensive to run?
Answer : No. Provided that regular maintenance checks keep your new systems in good working order, modern Inverter-Driven technology is actually highly energy efficient.
Question :Can Air Conditioning also provide a heat source?
Answer : Yes! A Heat-Pump/Reverse-Cycle Air Conditioning system can provide enough heat to warm any space, subject to correct sizing. This can actually be more energy and cost efficient than normal gas fired central heating systems.
Question :Are Maintenance Contracts a waste of money?
Answer : No. Regular maintenance serves two purposes: it reduces breakdown costs, and also reduces the running costs, by ensuring that all parts are cleaned regularly.
Question : What is 'F-Gas'?
Answer : F-Gases are Fluorinated Gases which, since 2007, have been subject to new EU regulations. Since nearly all air conditioning units contain these gases, you (the operator) are legally required to: prevent gas leakages, arrange yearly refrigerant checks for systems containing more than 3KG of refrigerant, or every 6 months for systems containing more than 30KG, fit leakage detection systems for more than 300KG, and keep records for leak tests, and servicing of your systems.
